Thank you ft Adore You (Altenew)

I’m back with a very clean and simple card this week.

So I have a habit of stamping lots of images to colour, when I don’t have the creative energy to make a complete card. So I took out a panel I coloured ages ago, which were stamped in Memento Tuxedo black on white card with my Coloursoft pencils. I went with pink and red tones. The leaves coloured in greens.

To add some interest, I went over all of the flowers with my clear wink of Stella pen and left them to dry.

To work on background, I knew I wanted to use my Distress Oxides, and create a contrasting look. I decided to go with a blue and yellow combo, so I chose Salty Ocean and Squeezed Lemonade.

I used a couple of Post-it notes, to mask off just over half of the square, that is staying white.

Taking a mini blending tool, I started blending from the edge to about half way up from the bottom edge first with the Salty Ocean. Then I did the same with the Squeezed Lemonade, from the other direction, which would blend the two colours together and create a very subtle green, nearer the top.

I was a bit hesitant to use these colours, as I thought they will clash but I’m a actually really happy with the results.

I chose the greeting ‘Many Thanks’ from My Favourite Things All Occasion Sentiment set and stamped this over the distress ink with Versafine Onyx black. I had to stamp a couple of times to get a good impression over the ink.

To finish the project I added pieces of foam tape to the back of the flowers and leaves, then arranged them on the panel.

Then the card was adhered to a 6″ square base. Below are some images of the finished card from various angles.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Please leave a comment and share!
